What the platform does, how it is organised, and where to find things.
What Aleva is
Aleva brings together, in one place, the documents of a construction project, its models, its drawings and the exchanges around them. Everything runs in the browser, with no installation, on desktop computers and tablets alike.
How it is organised
Everything starts with a project. A project holds its files, its models, its issues, its approval workflows and its schedule. You may belong to several projects, each with its own members and its own permissions.
Inside a project, work is done through modules, available in the left-hand menu.

| Site package | Prepare and issue a work package to a contractor |
Calibration is not a menu entry: it is a tool reached from the viewer, used to align a PDF drawing onto the model.
Two things to know from the start
Permissions come from project groups
Belonging to the company, being listed among the participants or holding a job title on the project grants nothing. What counts is the group you belong to within the project, and that group’s level on each module.
The tier is set per project
Available modules depend on the tier subscribed for that project, not for the company. Two projects of the same company may therefore offer different modules. A module outside the tier appears greyed out in the menu.
